Why do you think INHOPE is important?

I believe INHOPE is paramount in the fight against child sexual abuse material (CSAM) due to their pivotal role as a global solution to the proliferation of such content. With a network of dedicated experts, INHOPE leads the way in transforming how organisations globally combat CSAM, making a profound impact on protecting the most vulnerable children.

What do you see as the biggest challenge for INHOPE for the next 2 years?

The biggest challenge for INHOPE in the next two years may lie in adapting to the evolving landscape of technology that facilitates CSAM. It requires vigilance and innovative approaches to stay ahead of emerging platforms and technologies used for the propagation of harmful content. As part of the challenge and solution, I will leverage my local experience to help navigate and overcome this rapidly evolving situation.

Why did you decide to join the INHOPE board?

My decision to join the INHOPE board stems from my commitment to the mission and values of the organisation and its network. I am driven by a deep sense of duty and passion to contribute my experience and expertise in combating CSAM, and I believe that serving on the board is a crucial opportunity to make a meaningful difference on a global scale.

If you could change one thing about the internet, what would it be?

If I could change one thing about the internet, it would be to enhance its safety and security measures. Implementing stronger safeguards to prevent the spread of CSAM and other harmful content would create a more secure online environment for all users, particularly the most vulnerable.

Do you have a vision for the future? If so, what does it look like?

My vision for the future is one where CSAM no longer poses a threat to the innocence and well-being of children. I envision a world where technology and collaborative efforts have successfully eradicated CSAM, allowing children to grow and thrive in a digital landscape free from exploitation. This future is attainable through the dedication and collective action of organisations like INHOPE, working in harmony to protect the most vulnerable and create a safer online world.
