Barnaheill launch new campaign for SID 2021

On Safer Internet Day (SID) 2021 the Icelandic hotline started a new campaign, with the publishing of a new video. You can find the campaign here

The video gives a clear message to the public, especially children and teens: Don't share! If you receive or find nude pictures of children or other online material that depicts violence against children in any form, DO NOT SHARE it with anyone but report it to the Barnaheill's hotline.

The campaign was launched with a press release, a well known sexologist took over the Barnaheill Instagram account for the day, and an article was published containing information about how to react to or even prevent children sharing nude pictures of them online. Lawyer at Barnaheill and INHOPE Board member Þóra Jónsdóttir also gave an interview on the Icelandic national radio station, and Barnaheill are offering a mini-course about the hotline's function as a reaction tool when a child has suffered the spread of their nude pictures online. The Safer Internet Center in Iceland also published a short video where the hotline was presented.
