A Recap of the Combined CPORT/Content Assessment Training

On 18 and 19 June the third combined CPORT/Content assessment training took place at the National Dutch Police offices in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. This training is part of the CPORT project, for which INHOPE is developing a law enforcement portal into ICCAM. Part of the project are trainings organised for both law enforcement agencies (LEA) and hotlines from the same country that are dealing with local CSAM reports.

Theoretical topics that are covered during the training include an introduction to INTERPOL and the Crimes against Children Unit, an introduction to INHOPE & our ICCAM statistics, an introduction to the CPORT project and the portal for LEA. The practical topics consist of Content Assessment according to Baseline (International) criteria, staff welfare, age assessment, Victim ID and the practical use of the ICCAM system (for hotline analysts) and the Portal (for LEA officers).

During this latest training it was the first time attendees could practice in the ICCAM training environment to process- and view reports hosted in their county via the LEA portal. Hotline staff from Belgium, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Malta, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Portugal attended and the LEA officers they work with from Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Malta, Portugal and Spain. A total of 26 attendees. The results from the survey are very positive and attendees found the training very useful to their daily work.

The CPORT portal is fully operational and available for LEA officers to use. You or your LEA can apply for a joint online demo. Once you and your LEA have participated at the online demo meeting and confirmed your interest in starting to use the portal, you will receive all the relevant documentation to be filled and singed, after which INHOPE will conduct an eligibility check and if approved provide LEA access to the CPORT portal.

If your (European) hotline hasn’t attend a combined training yet: In 2024, two more trainings will take place in Europe, please indicate your availability here.

We plan to organise these trainings on other continents as well in 2025, when the development of the portal and training is finished. More information and invites will follow.
