The 2022 INHOPE Membership Satisfaction Survey

In December 2022 INHOPE conducted a Membership Satisfaction Survey which received 29 respondents from 21 countries. The key objective of this survey was to identify areas of improvement in governance, value of membership, and INHOPE’s provision of services to its members.

Most of the responses (86.2%) indicated a high-level satisfaction with being an INHOPE member, however, certain areas of improvement could be identified. Today, we want to share a brief update on the progress of these points.

Networking & Connecting Hotlines

Several points of feedback in the survey addressed the importance of connecting members. We acknowledged the importance of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Hotline Training Meeting (HTM) to facilitate networking and interaction. We believe this year's meeting in Malta incorporated this feedback and resulted in a productive and meaningful week of meetings which participants rated very positively.

This year, we also increased our Peer-2-Peer exchange program, allowing more member hotlines to visit fellow members to exchange knowledge and learn about each other's daily operations. Currently, we are looking into suitable online spaces where we can share knowledge and best practices at a regional and global level.

Communication/Service to Members and Online Events

INHOPE received several points of feedback around improving communication lines between members, INHOPE, and INHOPE's service to members. In the coming weeks, we will announce the position of 'Network Community Manager,' who will serve as the first point of contact for member hotlines and will support capacity-building efforts.

We have also taken your feedback on events into consideration. This year, we will host more online events, like the monthly analyst Q&A sessions at various times to accommodate non-European time zones.

Regionalisation and Network Expansion

Adapting to different cultures is part of our growth strategy. As a result, we've been holding quarterly introductory seminars on "how to create an INHOPE hotline' in both English and Spanish. This has enabled us to communicate with more countries in Latin America, including Guatemala, Bolivia, and El Salvador. Additionally, all network expansion materials are now available in Spanish. The Network Expansion team will furthermore deliver a summit in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region in Q1 2024. Together with eSafety, INHOPE's member hotline in Australia, NetEx is organising a regional meeting in the APAC region.
