Te Protejo Mexico: III International Meeting for a Digital World Free of CSAM

The successful III International Meeting was held at the International Convention Center in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, on February 27 and 28, 2024. This event was co-organised by AEBBA, Fin de la Esclavitud, and Fundación PAS, and took place in the framework of the Safer Internet Day.

The first day was highlighted by the Roundtable discussion on the problem of violence and sexual exploitation against children in the digital world, with the distinguished participation of Stephen Sauer from Cybertip.ca of the Canadian Centre for Child Protection INC, Jennifer Newman from NCMEC, Denton Howard from INHOPE, as well as representatives from the United States Consulate in Guadalajara, TikTok, Movistar, UNODCand Fundación PAS. The first day concluded with the annual in-person working session of the Advisory Council of Te Protejo México.

The second day continued with a forum gathering over 120 strategic attendees from schools, the press, civil organisations, and local businesses. The central theme was: "Mexico, United States and Canada. Strategic partnerships to strengthen actions to prevent and report child sexual exploitation and abuse material". During the afternoon we held the annual meeting of the Executive Council of Te Protejo México and the day culminated in a networking dinner and closing ceremony, reaffirming the commitment of all involved towards a digitally safe world for our children.

This meeting served not only as a platform for discussion but also as a call to action and international collaboration to address this challenge affecting the most vulnerable in our society. Visit Te Protejo Mexico.
