For the 20th birthday of Safer Internet Day, Point de Contact took a proactive part in different events with its partners to promote a better Internet for young people.

Roundtable Participation

Alongside ministers, institutional representatives, and associations, Point de Contact discussed offensive content accessible to minors online and answered the following question: “what policy(ies) action(s) should be taken to accompany minors in the face of offensive content accessible on the Internet?”

Participation in the SID 2023 Launching Event

Point de Contact took part in a debate between young people and digital stakeholders in 3 stages around the 3 key verbs of the 20 years campaign: “Have fun - Communicate – Inform - What are our children experiencing online?” The event was organised by our SIC partner, Internet Sans Crainte, different French ministers and involved digital stakeholders working to protect minors online.

International Collaborations

The Director of the Senegalese Child Protection Support Unit, a Special Advisor to the President, and a cooperation attaché from the French Embassy in Dakar, visited Point de Contact as part of a study visit on online child protection.
