Why do you think INHOPE is important?
INHOPE is a collaborative global network of hotlines to fight child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. In addition to sharing information/knowledge and best practices, its importance lies in its ability to work with Law Enforcement agencies to fight CSAM across borders.
What is the biggest challenge for INHOPE for the next 2 years?
Mandate: Growing cases (volumes) of CSAM accelerated by technological advancements.
Governance: Pursuing its global vision within its restrictions as a historically European network.
Why did you decide to join the INHOPE board?
I joined the INHOPE Board to lead and promote INHOPE’s Expansion strategy in the developing worlds where INHOPE’s footprint is limited so far, particularly in Africa.
If you could change one thing about the internet, what would it be?
I would rid it of CSAM and all other harmful content.
Do you have a vision for the future? If so, what does it look like?
A harmonised, interoperable and strengthened approach to CSAM legislation and regulation across the world.
