Head of Communications
INHOPE is the global network of internet hotlines combatting online Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Our vision is a digital world free of CSAM and our mission is to support our Hotlines in combatting online CSAM.
Hotlines provide the public with a way to anonymously report CSAM and other types of online illegal content. The INHOPE network has 54 member Hotlines in 50 countries.
The Role
As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for leadership and management of the INHOPE Communications team to ensure the effective delivery of the organisational marketing strategy.
INHOPE is a diverse organisation operating in 50 countries with many regional, language and cultural differences. We are also part of a global grouping of organisations and stakeholders all working toward a digital world free of CSAM. This often means that we must distil our messaging for specific audiences so that it is clear, relevant and succinct.
We are looking for a candidate who
- Can translate an often-complex message into a creative on-point campaign that will reach our target audiences.
- Can build upon an already high performing communications team to connect with our ever expanding internal and external audiences to ensure that INHOPE branding and associated messaging supports INHOPE’s reputation as a global leader in combatting CSAM.
- Has a strategic and operational delivery mindset.
- As a member of the INHOPE leadership team – can look for the challenges of the future and put plans in place to deliver programs to address those challenges.
- Can dynamically respond and evolve in response to the continuously changing environment that INHOPE operates in.
- Can lead a dynamic and resourceful international team while making a significant impact.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of the INHOPE brand.
- Lead all INHOPE communications and Marketing activities.
- Leadership & management of the INHOPE Communications team.
- Responsible for all communications activities over all channels, including Digital, Advertising, Communications and Creative.
- Responsible for management and control of INHOPE communications including budgets.
- Ownership of internal & external facing communications such as webinars, conferences and thought leadership events.
- Overall responsibility for external publications including the INHOPE Annual report.
- Lead design branding, positioning, and campaign strategies.
- Identify new awareness-raising opportunities.
- Drive coordination with key stakeholders (internal & external).
Requirements - You will have:
- Effective & proven leadership ability in a team environment.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of people management experience.
- A goal focused mindset.
- A track record of running successful marketing & communications campaigns.
- Experience with CRM software (ideally with Kirby), Mailchimp mailing tool (or similar), design applications (ideally with Canva).
- Expert copywriting skills in order to implement our tone/appropriate terminology.
- Strong project management and presentation skills.
- Experience brand building.
- Experience in event planning, coordination and execution with multiple stakeholders.
- A time management focus.
- An analytical mindset.
- A relevant University qualification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications.
- Solid knowledge of web analytics and Google AdWords.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft ads.

Reporting to: Executive Director
Location: The Netherlands (Hybrid working)
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week (full-time)
Contract: 1 year (with intention to extend)
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary range: €5,300 – €5,800 (gross monthly) dependent on experience.
