Protecting children from online sexual violence requires shared expertise and cooperation across borders. To strengthen this work, Te Protejo México, in collaboration with INHOPE and INTERPOL, hosted a three-day training and certification session in Mexico City focused on the INHOPE Universal Classification Schema (UCS).
The training brought together analysts, authorities and law enforcement representatives from Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina, Colombia and Mexico to strengthen their specialist skills and exchange knowledge on responding to online child sexual abuse.
Participants explored how the UCS and other specialised tools, including CPORT, support the assessment and classification of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Using consistent classification approaches helps specialists work more effectively across organisations and countries, supporting a more coordinated response to online child sexual abuse.
The training also provided an opportunity for participants to share practical experience, build professional connections and strengthen international cooperation in this field.
INHOPE and Te Protejo México thank the Fiscalía General de la República, INACIPE, Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana de México, Secretaría de Seguridad Jalisco, and everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible.
Through continued collaboration at national and international levels, Te Protejo México and Fundación PAS remain committed to strengthening the collective response to online child sexual abuse and helping create a safer digital environment for children.
