The 5th International Meeting for a Digital World Free from Child Sexual Violence brought together over 250 leaders, experts, and decision-makers from four key communities: adolescents, parents and caregivers, content creators and digital platforms, and stakeholders in public policy, security, and advocacy.
This gathering created a unique space for collaboration between national and international authorities, civil society organizations, technology companies, and child protection specialists, all working toward concrete solutions to online child sexual exploitation and abuse.
The agenda combined strategic dialogue with practical action, including a hands-on case of international cooperation, a multi-stakeholder forum, and thematic working groups focused on families, youth, content creators, and policy development. These sessions led to actionable proposals to strengthen prevention, reporting mechanisms, and institutional responses. The meeting also included capacity-building activities on digital communication and safety, as well as dedicated sessions to align efforts among key partners and advisory bodies. A closing reflection space reinforced the importance of collective responsibility and long-term commitment.
The meeting concluded with a high-level consultation to define next steps and strengthen institutional coordination. This initiative reaffirmed that when governments, civil society, and digital platforms work together, child protection becomes a sustained and effective reality.
